Local Business Ranked 69th among Top 100
Small Businesses in California
In recognition of the economic power of multicultural businesses, DiversityBusiness.com again named DirectLine Technologies, Inc. as one of the "Top 100 Small Businesses in the state of California (Div100)." DirectLine was also ranked among the "Top 100 Woman-Owned Businesses in California" and "Top 500 Woman-Owned Businesses in America (Div500)." Over 600,000 businesses in the United Sates had the opportunity to participate in the 8th annual contest.
The Div100 is the 8th annual listing of California's top 100 small businesses. The companies listed on the Div100 represent the Nation's top multicultural earners and challenge the long-held notion that a small business is small or insignificant. The Div500 is a classification that represents the top 500 women-owned businesses in the U.S.
The Impact of Small Business
"Small and Woman-Owned businesses are a growing force in the U.S. economy," said Kenton Clarke, CEO of Computer Consulting Associates International, the company that built DiversityBusiness.com. "This is a whole business segment that that provides jobs, products and services, and generates wealth for their communities. These are the new leaders in American business." Small businesses contribute over $1.4 trillion in sales to the U.S. economy.
Martha Connor, President and CEO of DirectLine Technologies Inc., commented "DirectLine provides "green" jobs to over 300 Stanislaus County employees in the course of each year, which we consider a significant contribution to our local economy. On the national front, our fundraising work for universities, hospitals, and non-profits nation-wide, has provided over $63 million dollars to serve constituents' needs."
